Birmingham City have announced that Nicolai Brock-Madsen who played as a striker for the English club has left by mutual consent.
Brock-Madsen moved to Birmingham City in the summer of 2015 when Gary Rowett was still the manager of the club. The forward is believed to have cost the English club in the region of $500,000 from Randers, which happens to be a very cheap transfer in this era.
However, during his time at the club, the Dane failed to nail down a spot in the Birmingham starting XI, making just eight appearances in all competitions without scoring a single goal.
All eight of those appearances came in his first few months at the club before he was loaned out to Dutch side PEC Zwolle in the 2016/2017 season.
He had a fantastic time in the Netherlands where he scored seven goals in 23 appearances. He then spent the 2017/2018 season on loan at Cracovia where he netted just once in eleven games.
His final loan spell, a stint at the lowly St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, was largely unsuccessful as he failed to score in five outings and was effectively sent back to Wast Hills earlier than planned.
Brock-Madsen will now be looking for a new club in the New Year after Birmingham City announced that the 27-year-old has been released by manager Garry Monk when his St Mirren loan deal officially ends in January.
The club released a statement thanking Brock-Madsen for his professionalism and wishing him success in his future footballing career.
